Job Description

Support Continuous Delivery and Sprint Execution: Support day-to-day sprint execution to help ensure committed work is delivered predictably. Track sprint progress, capacity, and blockers; escalate risks as needed. Ensure sprint goals and Definition of Done are understood and followed. Independently manage sprint execution and proactively address delivery risks without escalation. – Serve as Scrum Master for the Engineering Team: Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Keep ceremonies structured, time-boxed, and focused on outcomes. Reinforce Agile and Scrum practices through consistent execution. Actively coach the team and stakeholders on Scrum best practices and adapt facilitation style based on team maturity. Facilitate Team Communication and Collaboration: – Support communication between engineers, product owners, and stakeholders. Ensure delivery status, dependencies, and risks are visible and understood. Help foster a collaborative and respectful team environment. Serve as the primary facilitator for delivery conversations and resolve cross-functional friction. – Support Backlog Readiness and Flow: Partner with Product Owners to support backlog grooming and sprint readiness. Validate that stories have clear acceptance criteria, sizing, and dependencies identified. Help maintain a steady flow of work into sprints. Proactively identify backlog quality issues and drive improvements with Product Owners. o Contribute to Continuous Improvement o Participate in retrospectives and help track improvement actions. – Support the use of basic Agile metrics (velocity, carryover, blockers). Identify opportunities to improve team processes. Lead retrospectives and ensure improvement actions are implemented and sustained. – Maintain Agile Artifacts and Reporting: Keep Agile tools and boards current and accurate. Assist with sprint-level reporting and documentation. Follow established Agile standards and templates. Own Agile reporting accuracy and provide delivery insights to stakeholders

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery role supporting software engineering teams
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience facilitating at least some Scrum ceremonies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Experience working with software engineering teams

Nice to have

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Agile delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow Agile SDLC, Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience supporting enterprise or platform engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery metrics and continuous improvement techniques
