Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Technician supporting the Aggregate and Asphalt Testing at our Mansfield Asphalt Plant, Nottinghamshire. You will report directly to the Technical Manager. A Business use Van will be provided to allow mobility to our customer sites. Based on customer and business needs, the role will require the successful candidate to commit to a combination of days and night working.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out product compliance sampling and testing for the aggregates and asphalt we produce
  • Input and interpret test data and produce reports of non-conforming material, ensuring corrective action is taken
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including customers and peers

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Maintain an awareness of site practices and quality procedures
  • Adherence to Health & Safety practices
  • General housekeeping
  • A full driving licence is essential

Nice to have:

Previous laboratory experience in the testing of aggregates and asphalt is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
