Job Description:

The Agency Services Specialist facilitates the onboarding process for new agency clients. They work very closely with the agency to support its agents in becoming familiar with Orchid’s systems and processes to build an effective relationship. They also provide back-office support as requested by Distribution Management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Acts as Orchid’s Welcome Team through verbal and written communication with prospective agencies who are entering an appointment agreement with Orchid
  • Explain and answer any questions relating to required documents and compliance for appointments
  • Processes Producer Agreement contracts and all documents required to complete an agency appointment
  • Verify that all documents contain required signatures and all contract requirements are met
  • Complete due diligence in verifying agency and/or producers have appropriate licenses based on state requirements
  • Process new admitted appointments through the National Insurance Producer Registry and any other procedures required to complete admitted company appointments in compliance with state specific DOI regulations
  • Enter and maintain system of record for all Orchid agencies on any/all required platforms
  • Represent Orchid Underwriters Agency, LLC in the most positive manner with prospective and current clients and the communities we serve
  • Handle confidential information with tact and discretion

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of standard insurance concepts, underwriting practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of data processing capabilities and procedures
  • Must have pleasant and professional phone presence
  • Ability to contact and communicate with others effectively by telephone and/or by email
  • Proficient with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving techniques to create customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor
  • Must be team oriented
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

Possess or acquire and maintain a FL 1-20 insurance license or the equivalent as required by FL state. Non-resident Florida teammates possess or acquire and maintain the non-Florida resident state equivalent Excess & Surplus license
