The Aftersales Technical Trainer is responsible for the development and delivery of high‑quality technical training to the authorised dealer network across Europe. The role delivers both classroom‑based theoretical training and hands‑on workshop‑based practical training, supporting technicians at all competency levels. In addition to delivering training, the role is accountable for creating, maintaining, and continuously improving training materials, ensuring they remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with current vehicle technologies and Aftersales priorities. Working closely with internal Technical Support Engineers, Field Service Engineers, and Regional Aftersales Managers, the role proactively identifies capability and skill gaps within the dealer network and develops targeted training and mentoring programmes to address them.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver structured theoretical and practical technical training to dealer vehicle technicians across all competency levels
Provide training across relevant vehicle technologies, including ICE, Hybrid, and BEV platforms
Conduct training sessions at training centres, dealer workshops, and regional locations across Europe
Develop, update, and maintain technical training materials
Liaise closely with Technical Support Engineers to identify recurring issues, emerging trends, and skill gaps
Proactively design and deliver targeted training interventions
Support the development of mentoring programmes for dealer technicians
Coordinate and support technical round table sessions across all regions
Act as a professional and credible technical representative of the manufacturer within the dealer network
Maintain accurate records of training delivery, attendance, and material updates
Work collaboratively with Aftersales, Technical Support, Engineering, Warranty, and Network teams
Support the continuous improvement of Aftersales technical capability and repair quality across the network
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Technician, Master Technician, Technical Trainer, or equivalent within an automotive manufacturer or dealer environment
Strong technical knowledge across modern vehicle systems, including ICE, Hybrid, and BEV technologies
Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to technicians with varying levels of experience
Experience delivering technical training, coaching, or mentoring in either a formal or informal setting
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple training activities across regions
Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Europe
Nice to have:
Formal qualification or certification in technical training or adult learning
High Voltage certification to an advanced level
Experience developing structured training programmes and materials
Previous experience working within an OEM Aftersales or technical support function
