Ace Hardware - Immediate After School Help Needed Are you looking for a fun and loving work environment where you can make a difference in your community? Do you enjoy helping others and being part of a dynamic team? Ace Hardware, your local hardware store, is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Afternoon Help. As part of our community-driven brand, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced and enthusiastic environment while providing top-notch customer support.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist customers with their hardware needs
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Restock shelves and maintain store cleanliness
  • Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises
  • Managing transactions using a cash register
  • Balancing the cash register
  • Scanning goods and ensuring pricing and quantities are accurate
  • Accepting payments in cash, credit, or check
  • Providing change and receipts
  • Issuing coupons, vouchers, stamps, and gift cards
  • Processing returns, refunds, and resolving customer complaints
  • Bagging and wrapping purchased goods for safe transport
  • Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
  • Loading products into vehicles as needed

Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday with weekend availability
  • Two to three shifts during the week (3:00-6:00) & one weekend day (Saturday 8-5:30 or Sunday 10:00-5:00)
  • Enjoy working in a retail environment
  • Must be able to be on you feet for 6 to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift 70#
