Job Description

As part of the Engineering team within the Aftermarket & Services department, the selected candidate will serve as the technical point of reference for a wide range of activities, ranging from technical support to various corporate functions, to the development of advanced solutions within brownfield projects, and in-depth analysis of vibration-related aspects in the context of troubleshooting interventions.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide technical support to Aftermarket Commercial Operations Team for new offers
  • Execute feasibility studies for pump retrofits considering both hydraulic and mechanical aspects of pumps
  • Develop new services for After Market, including development of technical solutions dedicated to specific applications and development of new tools to facilitate retrofit quotations, or enable for aftersales services sells
  • Support Field Service teams during their on-site activities providing technical guidance
  • Support Commissioning Manager/Warranty Manager and field service teams defining solutions and actions to solve customer’s technical claim
  • Support Service Center with escalating issue providing technical guidance to complete pump overhaul/maintenance/retrofits
  • Complete high-level analysis of vibration data (spectrum analysis, time waveform, acceleration envelopes, orbit analysis)
  • Provide feedback on rotating machinery health based on vibration data and other instrument readings (bearing temperature, process data…)
  • Contribute actively to development, definitions and specifications of techniques to be implemented in remote condition monitoring systems, according to system development schedule and targets
  • Train Field Service Engineer in basic vibration analysis and/or use of specific tools for condition monitoring

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in rotating equipment
  • Strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps/rotating machinery
  • Competences in mechanical engineering, 2D drawings comprehension
