Kamaʻāina Kids is looking for a caring and dependable One-on-One Group Leader to support a child with special needs in our Waikoloa After School Program. In this role, you’ll work directly with one student each afternoon, helping them engage in activities, build friendships, and grow in a positive, supportive setting.
Job Responsibility:
Provide one-on-one support to a child during the after school program
Help them participate in games, activities, and group experiences
Encourage positive social interactions and independence
Support a safe and structured environment
Work alongside program staff to ensure every child feels welcome and supported
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Interest in working with children
Ability to provide supportive one-on-one care
Nice to have:
Experience is helpful, but not required
Students studying education, psychology, or human services
Aspiring teachers, SPED educators, or school counselors
Paraprofessionals, aides, or RBTs
Anyone passionate about inclusive childcare and youth development
