Job Description:

Togetherhood is seeking an organized and energetic After-School Program Coordinator to manage enrichment programs in the Bronx, NY, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the liaison between Togetherhood and partner sites
  • Communicate with instructors
  • Manage attendance
  • Support classroom functions
  • Maintain supplies
  • Check in instructors
  • Support daily class functions including attendance tracking and class material preparation
  • Monitor all classes and support instructors with classroom management and student behavior
  • Assist instructors with supplies, setup, and student engagement
  • Maintain a tidy and organized inventory of materials, and order/replenish supplies
  • Collect and organize at least two ready-to-use lesson plans from each instructor in case of emergencies
  • Act as an on-call substitute for any subject area when an instructor is unexpectedly absent
  • Collaborate closely with Togetherhood’s Customer Success Manager to maintain high-quality programming and to resolve issues of escalation

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in teaching or enrichment roles
  • Experience with elementary-age students
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Clear communication
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding attendance and punctuality
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Professional demeanor
  • Comfortable with texting apps
  • Able to follow a modest and professional dress code on-site
