Job Description

A loving and close-knit family based in Northcote, VIC is seeking an experienced and confident nanny to assist in the care of their two daughters, aged 8 and 10 years. The family values connection, creativity, and a balanced approach to routine and play, and they are looking for a nanny who will become a positive and engaging presence in the children’s daily lives. This is a part-time, after-school position, working 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2:00pm – 7:00pm).

Job Responsibility

  • Provide attentive care, following the children’s routines
  • School pick-ups and transport to activities as required
  • Engage the children in age-appropriate play and activities
  • Encourage and support homework completion
  • Prepare snacks and meals for the children (with guidance if required)
  • Assist with general tidying and light household tasks related to the children

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a nanny or in childcare
  • Confident working with school-aged children
  • Warm, engaging, and able to build strong, positive relationships
  • Able to balance fun and play with structure and expectations
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Non-smoker
  • Pet-friendly

Nice to have

Musical ability (a bonus, as the children learn flute and piano)
