Job Description

Part-time After School Group Leader role for the Kamakau Hawaiian Language Immersion program. You'll be supporting students in a culturally rich, language-first environment where Hawaiian language and values are part of every interaction. Perfect for students, parents, or anyone needing a steady weekday afternoon schedule.

Job Responsibility

Lead groups of children (ages 5–10) through games, arts & crafts, and outdoor play
Help with homework and encourage positive behavior
Use 'Active Supervision' to ensure a secure and organized environment
Work with a team of leaders to run a smooth program
Use and model ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language) throughout the program

Requirements

Fluency in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language)
18+ years old
High school diploma or GED
Genuine enjoyment of being around children and helping them succeed
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to show up on time
Ability to reliably commute to Kamakau School in Kāneʻohe
