Our client, a large company specializing in heavy equipment and snow removal, is looking for an After-Sales Operations Manager - Parts and Service for its Laval location. This strategic role is essential and aims to replace an individual whose probation period was not conclusive, hence the urgency to find an independent, results-oriented leader before the peak season. ... The ideal candidate must have non-negotiable expertise in spare parts/replacement parts management and be bilingual (French/English). This mid-level manager will need to be hands-on, interact with a unionized team, and focus on process improvement and proactive customer service. If you have a long-term vision and a strategic profile in supply chain and service management, this challenge is for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing proactive customer service
  • Managing the supply chain and inventory of spare parts, including purchasing, distribution, tracking, and pricing
  • Supervising a small unionized team of mechanics and parts clerks
  • Analyze, create, and implement new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the team and improve the efficiency of operational processes
  • Manage deadlines and inventory to respond to customers regarding parts availability and tracking

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years in a leadership role, ideally in after-sales service or the heavy equipment or automotive sector
  • Experience in spare parts management – NON-NEGOTIABLE CRITERION
  • Fluent bilingual (English/French) at a professional level – NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT
  • Analytical, quick, independent, with a collaborative approach and able to interact easily with technicians on the floor
