Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to publish revenue generating video, social media, written form and other multimedia content, including affiliate links that provide our audience with up to date and honest reviews about trending products, new releases, tourism experiences and money saving deals.

Job Responsibility

  • Create engaging affiliate shopping content for YorkshireLive
  • Publish revenue generating video, social media, written form and other multimedia content
  • Write engaging and informative reviews and social content covering home goods, tourism, beauty, tech, fashion, cleaning
  • Find new and innovative ways to promote content off-platform around major affiliate opportunities
  • Research, write and publish high quality articles, first person video reviews, live blogs and buying guides
  • Utilise analytical tools including Trackonomics, Chartbeat, Google Trends to identify opportunities
  • Create and implement content plans to drive traffic
  • Meet daily revenue targets
  • Work shifts on a rota basis including some evenings and weekends

Requirements

  • NCTJ qualified journalist or equivalent
  • UK media law knowledge
  • Proven experience creating affiliate content in a newsroom or for social media
  • Excellent knowledge of Yorkshire
  • Good understanding of affiliate content
  • First class writer who can create accurate content at pace
  • Flexible approach to work shifts including evenings and weekends
