PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for an Operational Excellence Technician to join our team onsite in Grand Prairie, TX! Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you'll implement Lean methodologies and contribute to operational efficiency. Job Responsibility:

  • Foster positive, professional relationships across all levels
  • Develop work standards for productivity and line balancing
  • Increase machining processes for quality, efficiency, and repeatability
  • Implement manufacturing cost reductions for process improvement
  • Collaborate with Engineering to design machines, tools, and increase work flow
  • Manage projects for product improvement
  • Communicate Lean group's philosophy, vision, and expectations
  • provide employee training on lean concepts
  • Lead lean events to include value stream mapping exercises for business improvement
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve service-related issues
  • Align with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
  • perform assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering
  • OR HS Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience related to lean manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Minimum of a Green Belt preferred
  • Knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing concepts and application preferred
  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply
