The Mechanical Assembler role requires impeccable technical mastery, particularly regarding hydraulic assembly and torque-controlled installations. You will work on essential components destined for the aerospace industry, handling various materials such as aluminum and stainless steel. Precision is the heart of this trade within our manufacturing & logistics sector. Whether it is thread chasing or "Helicoil" installation, every movement counts to guarantee the integrity of the parts produced. The ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, work instructions, and testing procedures to ensure compliance with manufacturing & logistics standards.
Job Responsibility:
Performing full assembly of complex mechanical and hydraulic sub-assemblies according to blueprints
Installing studs to specified heights and torque settings as per technical drawings
Carrying out thread chasing and the installation of Helicoil-type inserts
Ensuring the precise installation of locking pins and mechanical pins
Conducting rigorous pressure testing to validate the sealing of assemblies
Performing flow target testing and volumetric flow testing to guarantee system performance
Carefully handling various materials, including aluminum and stainless steel, to prevent contamination or damage
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment compliant with manufacturing & logistics standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical assembly
Proven hands-on experience in stud installation with torque control (non-negotiable)
Solid experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in aerospace or hydraulics
Vocational diploma (DEP/DVS) in mechanical assembly or a related field
Physical ability to work in a standing position and handle precision parts
Residency or easy commuting access to Pointe-Claire (West Island)
Advanced mastery of measurement tools and torque wrenches (torque control)
Technical expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and assembly procedures
High manual dexterity and an aptitude for microscopic precision work
Complete autonomy in executing test and assembly procedures
A keen eye for detail to identify non-conformities during manufacturing & logistics processes
A collaborative spirit while being able to work independently without constant supervision
