Job Responsibility

  • Provide daily support and coordination for the Mojave PPG Aerospace project portfolio, including close interaction with GAMT and Operations engineering leads to deliver solutions, monitor project status, and ensure timely engineering responses during construction
  • Engage early in project development and various engineering design stages to offer constructability input, minimize field construction risks, and contribute to inter-discipline collaboration through team meetings and model reviews
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of PPG standards and core construction activities (piping, foundations, lifts, instrumentation, electrical) to serve as a resource during field walks, model reviews, and construction readiness assessments
  • Participate in constructability-related reviews such as QA/QC, schedule controls, estimates, systems identification, purchasing, contracting, field HSE, and construction readiness to support project execution
  • Conduct routine field verifications and visits to ensure accurate engineering deliverables, monitor construction progress, and maintain communication with PPG construction representatives and contractors
  • Coordinate with Hargrove engineering to develop construction work packages and proactively track permits to closure, including regular meetings with the Permit Lead and participation in weekly construction meetings
  • Facilitate timely engineering responses to RFIs by vetting questions and driving resolution, supporting smooth construction operations and effective project delivery

Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of experience managing construction projects, manufacturing, process or design engineering required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable California engineering, industrial, and building codes and COR permit required
