Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering (with Aerospace specialty)
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months
Knowledge of aerodynamics and fluid mechanics
Experience in modern control theory applications
Experience operating in LINUX/UNIX environments using scripting languages (python, PERL, etc.)
Experience using MatLab or similar engineering software
Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical and organizational skills

Job Responsibility

Evaluate aircraft compatibility pertaining to internal and external stores
Support the aircraft/store certification process
Perform sophisticated store separation aerodynamic analytical efforts
Design/direct ground tests, wind tunnel tests, and flight tests
Apply modeling and simulation tools to address complex aerodynamic configurations
Devise engineering software scripts and programs for specific program engineering purposes
Professionally document certification artifacts, engineering documentation, and formal presentations
Work well as a member of a discipline team in a dynamic multi-tasking environment

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
8+ years of experience delivering mission systems, payload integrations, or complex aerospace capabilities
Demonstrated experience defining and coordinating payload- or mission-system-related product capabilities
