NAVBLUE combines aircraft manufacturer expertise, flight operations know-how and agile development to enhance operational efficiency, optimize resources and increase productivity, for a safe and sustainable aviation. We’re looking for experienced ArcGIS user, to support our tools development in Aeronautical Charting, bring ideas for automation and data driven products. You’ll be cooperating closely with our development Team and share your knowledge with other users. In this position we mainly focus on GIS skills and excellent communication, within the Team and other stakeholders. A NAVBLUE Aeronautical Analyst - Charts is responsible for the analysis and production of aeronautical charts (working to a 14-day revision cycle) and other documentation used by commercial airlines. This analysis will cover Terminal charts aeronautical information (general information, procedures, aerodrome information) within all document types (aeronautical information publications, NOTAMs and supplements).
Job Responsibility:
Analyze and compare aeronautical publications issued by the state authorities
Creation of aeronautical charts, using GIS based tools
Create user stories and support for the Tool Development Team
Develop knowledge and support application of the NAVBLUE Chart Specification to all NAVBLUE chart products
Raise and monitor communications to state authorities in response to any discrepancy identified through document analysis
Identify quality, non-conformance issue(s) and potential risks, escalate appropriately and propose corrective and preventative actions (with guidance)
Lead small projects and host internal meetings/workshops with support or guidance
Collaborate and share ideas, both within Charts+ and with other teams, to achieve team and department goals
Requirements:
At least 2 years of ArcGis experience
Good verbal and written communication in English
Excellent work ethic and positive attitude towards daily tasks and the company
Be open and responsive to change, show willingness to learn and develop
Communicate clearly and concisely within the Team, department and externally
Nice to have:
Degree in GIS or related field would be an asset
Degree in aviation would be an asset
