Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or CATIA
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Job Responsibility

Use SolidWorks to design and modify parts and assemblies
Create 2D drawings of parts and assemblies complete with bill of material (BOM) for internal or external fabrication and assembly
Perform aerodynamic analysis and calculations to inform the design and predict the behavior of aircraft
Develop and analyze mechanical systems for aircraft, including engines, airframes, and avionics
Conduct simulations, testing, and prototyping to validate designs and ensure they meet performance and safety requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into larger aerospace systems
Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential mechanical failures
Design and oversee the manufacturing and assembly processes of mechanical components, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards
Maintain accurate documentation of designs, processes, and test results
Perform other duties as assigned

Lead preliminary design and sizing activities (exploration and feasibility phases) in a multinational, military and complex environment
Develop a strategic influence towards our military customers and governmental authorities, being the focal point of such strategic studies
Perform conceptual activities comprising sizing and costing of conventional aircraft system and of advanced concepts including the integration of innovative and disruptive technologies at aircraft level
