Job Description:

You will support site and project teams by enabling timely and compliant regulatory permitting, helping ensure operations and projects progress safely and responsibly. Your work will support regulatory obligations in British Columbia while maintaining strong relationships with First Nations and government ministries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support and lead environmental permitting activities, including applications, amendments, and updates
  • Apply regulatory and environmental monitoring knowledge across air, water, and soil
  • Monitor regulatory changes in BC and assess impacts to existing and future permits
  • Interface with applicable First Nations stakeholders and provincial ministries as part of permitting activities
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, regulators, and government agencies
  • Prepare and manage key permitting documentation, schedules, and tracking tools
  • Support compliance, audits, reporting, and governance activities

Requirements:

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in environmental permitting, ideally within British Columbia
  • Experience working within a mining or heavy industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting regulatory approvals and environmental compliance
  • Ability to engage effectively with First Nations, regulators, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment
