Job Responsibility:

  • Provide daily guidance, support, and influence to production teams and internal services to promote a strong preventive Health, Safety & Environment culture
  • Conduct HSE audits and inspections with internal stakeholders
  • Act as a technical specialist for clients and colleagues on topics such as ergonomics, machine safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental matters
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external partners based on trust and respect (clients, union representatives)
  • Ensure the site’s legal compliance in HSE by conducting audits and implementing corrective action plans
  • Participate in project governance meetings to ensure the application and integration of regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the Local HSE committees for the assigned area
  • Perform on-site qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
  • Apply a rigorous risk management approach: hazard identification, implementation of mitigation measures, and monitoring of their effectiveness
  • Develop task specific safety instructions to support prevention efforts
  • Participate in accident investigations and the development of corrective and preventive actions
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of HSE programs and tools
  • Support internal alignment by ensuring the application of HSE processes (operational procedures and management system requirements)
  • Analyze trends in HSE data to identify emerging risks and opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HSE or a related field (e.g., relevant ASP Construction certification)
  • Are fluent in French (spoken and written)
  • Have at least 5 to 8 years of experience, preferably in an ISO certified and unionized manufacturing environment
  • Possess strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Are solution oriented and committed to continuous improvement
  • Are autonomous, organized, and capable of coordinating the implementation of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Can prioritize tasks and adjust in response to new demands in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Have strong skills in simplifying and synthesizing information
  • Possess excellent computer skills
