Job Responsibility:

  • Collaboratively developing, implementing and evaluating a range of advisory and advocacy services focused on students transitioning to and from vocational education and training study
  • Support student transition to university through providing access to individualised and/or group support, providing advice, connecting students to appropriate services and contributing to an overall positive student experience
  • This position requires extensive travel and after hours/weekend work at times

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated excellence in using inclusive approaches, with an understanding of the needs of students studying both vocational and higher education
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and produce high quality outcomes
  • Strong IT skills to support client centred service delivery and work as part of a physically distributed team
  • Appointment is conditional upon the successful applicant producing, satisfying and maintaining a “Working with Children Check”, in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People Act (NSW)
