Community Integrated Care is recruiting for Advanced Support Workers in Inverness. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced support worker to step up. You will support a young gentleman with diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Mild-Moderate Learning Disability, Anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder to live the Best life's Bolder. The role involves helping him with his routines, experiences in structure and ensuring consistency which is very important as he needs to feel regulated and safe. New team members will be expected to undertake transitional work in Grimsby, prior to this young gentleman moving into his new home at the end of March 2026.
Job Responsibility:
support a young gentleman with diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Mild-Moderate Learning Disability, Anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder to live the Best life's Bolder
help with routines, experiences in structure and ensuring consistency
build positive relationships to maintain his wellbeing
undertake transitional work in Grimsby prior to the young gentleman moving into his new home at the end of March 2026 (including some overnight stays)
Requirements:
Level 3 in Social Care
strong experience in mental health, autism and forensic background
experience in social care (if no qualification)
natural ability to connect with people and build trusting relationships
genuine passion for supporting independence and personal growth
talent for mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and leading by example
commitment to continuous improvement
experience in Positive Behavioural Support strategies
calm, consistent, and unconditionally positive approach to care
keen eye for detail and deep understanding of individual needs and preferences
willingness to engage in reflective practice
UK driving license is essential
Nice to have:
background in supporting people with autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder
shares interests in physical activities, especially badminton and walking
