To ensure the error free product launches based on robust designs and stable, capable processes throughout the supply chain. Voice of customer and strive to become the expert in customer systems and customer specific requirements, which will lead to decreasing warranty costs. As an Advanced Quality Engineer for BorgWarner PDS, you will interact with the customer, the product development team, Program Management, Manufacturing team and other relative plant teams to launch new products/programs through BorgWarner and customer required APQP activities. The AQE plans, tracks and executes all quality related activities to fulfil customer requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Verify VOC and determine Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) parameters to be tracked and maintained throughout the product development
Prepare the quality plan and organize the relevant quality & problem prevention activities, also including coach of quality tools
Utilize quality tools and take the lead on closing the loop between Lesson Learned/quality history, D/P-PMEA, DVP&R and Control Plan
Participate in program management stage gate reviews and engage work groups (e.g. FMEA, DFM, DFA, etc.) to ensure the appropriate quality input
Support to evaluate design concept and participate in design review to meet quality objectives. Also co-sign design review document
Using statistical techniques to create test plans for reliability testing
Drive and support DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) activities in programs to improve design robustness and reliability of products
Assure prototype/OTS/PPAP sample quality delivered to customer
Implement Lessons Learned/Warranty fixes to products under development (DFMEA)
Lead PPAP to customer
Lead MSA for new project and support to gauge/test fixture requirement plan
Establish, optimize, and maintain the communication process for DFSS
Specify and maintain relative procedures
Interaction with PQE for handover at special quality gate
Support to budget planning about quality control tools/gauges based on new product/program requirement
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above
Major in Mechanical, Material, Automatic industry engineering or relative auto industry area
Work Experience 3 years or above relative job experience
Know the basic rule of DFM/DFA, QFD, DoE, FMEA, DVP&R, SPC, Reliability, etc.
Skill Customer focus, new product/process development and introduction experience
Others project management and good coordination among cross functions
Nice to have:
6 sigma green belt or black belt will be preferred
