Advanced Practitioner - Children with Disabilities
Job Responsibility
Model exemplary, strength-based statutory practice, taking on a highly focused, complex caseload that utilizes your advanced clinical judgment
Support the Team Manager by providing high-quality guidance, running reflective group supervision, and mentoring newly qualified social workers (ASYEs) and students
Drive the execution of robust, holistic assessments that factor in complex medical, physical, and learning disabilities, ensuring packages of care are precisely tailored
Lead on case file audits, champion service compliance, and ensure the unique voice and communication methods of every child are embedded in their care plans
Requirements
A recognized Social Work degree and an active registration with Social Work England
A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying social work experience explicitly held within a UK Local Authority Children's Social Care setting
Recent, direct experience working within a dedicated Children with Disabilities (CWD) team
The confidence to lead, challenge practice constructively, and step up to support the team's overarching development
