Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join a dedicated service supporting Children in Care/Cared For Children. This is a key role within the team, focused on delivering high-quality, relationship-based social work that promotes safety, stability, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality, relationship-based social work to children in care
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on complex and high-risk cases
  • Model best practice and support consistent, child-centred decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
  • Strengthen assessments, care planning, and review processes

Requirements:

  • Recognised Diploma / Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Significant experience working with Cared For Children
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and statutory frameworks
  • Ability to support and develop the practice of other social workers
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
