Job Description

North Tyneside Council is looking for three experienced Advanced Practitioners to join their busy Children's Services teams. This is a critical role designed to provide expert social work practice and support the delivery of high-quality services to children and families. We are currently recruiting for two specific areas: Social Work Assessment Team (1 Position): Focus on initial assessments and managing the 'front door' of service delivery. Safe and Supported Teams (2 Positions): Focus on long-term support and ensuring children remain safe within their communities.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-level social work expertise in complex cases
  • Work within a busy environment to meet statutory deadlines and service requirements
  • Oversee assessments and interventions within the Assessment or Safe and Supported frameworks

Requirements

  • Must be a Social Care Qualified professional
  • Active Social Work England registration is essential
  • Ready to start in early 2026 for a full-time, temporary assignment
  • Candidates must provide a CV and be available for an interview
