The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care- Lung Transplant Program is seeking 2 Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to provide specialty medical care within the Hybrid (outpatient & inpatient) setting. These positions are located in Milwaukee, WI at the Center for Advanced Care at Froedtert Hospital. The Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) work as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Job Responsibility
Provide specialty medical care within the Hybrid (outpatient & inpatient) setting
Contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching
Engage & educate patients and families
Teach medical students, residents & multidisciplinary health professionals
Requirements
Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization
Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization
Wisconsin RN License
Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
ACLS
BLS
DEA
Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP) highly preferred
Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Previous PA, NP, or RN experience in an inpatient pulmonary or lung transplant setting strongly preferred
