Job Description:

El Rio Health is looking for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider – APRN Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. We are the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Arizona and one of the largest in the nation. We have been serving the Tucson Community for 55 years offering comprehensive primary medical care, physical therapy and dental services.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing Program
  • Active and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in the state of Arizona
  • Active Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatrics
  • International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant if the provider will be performing formal lactation consultations
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
  • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and advanced life support certifications if relevant to the practice area or facility
  • (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance card
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements

Nice to have:

  • Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing Program
  • One (1) or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an acute, outpatient or ancillary healthcare environment
  • International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant
  • Clinical experience working in a Community Health Center Environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages
