Job Description

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a NP/PA as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws: In this role you will provide high level palliative care at top of license through Interdisciplinary Team approach. Focus on goals of care conversations, symptom management and reducing uncertainty for medically complex patients. Will consider new grads with 2 years of hospice or palliative care experience as an RN.

Requirements

  • MSN Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program
  • 1+ years as a NP or PA Preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio
  • Current Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships
  • Must have computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook

Nice to have

  • 2 years of hospice or palliative care experience as an RN
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
