Job Description:

El Rio Health is looking for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider – APRN Certified Nurse Midwife. We are the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Arizona and one of the largest in the nation. We have been serving the Tucson Community for 55 years offering comprehensive primary medical care, physical therapy and dental services.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing Program
  • Active and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in the state of Arizona
  • Active Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in specialty area as applicable
  • Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives after completion of a nurse-midwifery educational program approved by the American College of Nurse-Midwives
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
  • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and advanced life support certifications if relevant
  • Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment
  • Must maintain ongoing CME credits
  • Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation
  • If driving during work hours, must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements

Nice to have:

  • Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing Program
  • One (1) or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an acute, outpatient or ancillary healthcare environment
  • Clinical experience working in a Community Health Center Environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages
