We are seeking an APP to join a dynamic Urology team at Advocate Sherman Hospital. This position is set in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a wide variety of urology cases. It combines both clinic and hospital responsibilities, including managing consults, assisting in surgical procedures, and collaborating with physicians to deliver comprehensive urologic care.

Requirements:
Active Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Illinois
PA: Master’s degree or equivalent in Physician Assistant studies (effective January 1, 2018)
APRN: Master’s in Nursing with current national certification in the appropriate specialty
Prior urology experience is strongly preferred but not required
Surgical or consult experience is a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records
Current NCCPA certification (for PA) or national board certification (for APRN)
Illinois Controlled Substance License within six months of hire
DEA registration eligibility and possession within six months of hire
Current BLS certification
PALS/ACLS certification as required by practice site
Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including on-call coverage
Capacity to work under pressure in challenging situations
Routine exposure to infectious specimens and patients
Competence in caring for patients across age groups
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently
