Job Description

Provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a dynamic, supportive environment. Key role in front line healthcare services. Work within NMC professional boundaries for advanced practice. Requires flexibility, innovation, and ability to handle complex, urgent, and emergency situations.

Job Responsibility

  • Patient-facing consultations (face-to-face and telephone)
  • Triage, assessment, diagnosis, and management of minor illness, chronic, and complex conditions
  • Prescribing and medication administration
  • Administration, record-keeping, and clinical governance tasks
  • Contribute to service improvements, protocols, audits, and leadership initiatives
  • Support and mentor colleagues
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

  • Registered first-level nurse
  • Relevant nursing/health degree or MA
  • Clinical supervision training
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Minimum 2 years primary/community nursing
  • Nurse-led management of minor illness, minor ailments, injuries
  • Leadership in audits, protocol development, and quality initiatives
  • Advanced clinical practice, triage, communication, conflict management, leadership, teaching, change management skills
  • Self-directed, motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, team player personal qualities
  • Management of chronic and complex conditions, clinical examination skills, clinical governance, public health issues, local/national health policy knowledge
  • Vaccinations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella (evidence required)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • References (current/most recent employer required)
  • Disclosure of employment gaps >6 weeks
