Job Description

Responsive Repairs. We’re responsible for delivering responsive repairs, right first time across Abri. We carry out the responsive repairs to our customers’ homes ranging from electrical, carpentry and plumber repairs as well as plastering and decorations. We also carry out external repairs such as fencing and groundworks.

  • Undertake a broad range of carpentry, plumbing and associated trade works to an advanced multi-skilled level, including masonry, tiling and plastering (internal and external), in line with Skills Awards L3 NVQ Diploma in Maintenance Operations or equivalent
  • Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with health & safety legislation, building regulations, relevant codes of practice and service standards, including correct use of PPE
  • Liaise effectively with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication regarding progress, outcomes and follow-on actions
  • Escalate complex issues to senior staff where required to identify appropriate remedial solutions
  • Deliver a high-quality, right-first-time service, completing repairs within agreed priorities and timescales
  • Act as a professional ambassador for Abri, maintaining positive customer relationships at all times
  • Accurately apply and interpret Schedules of Rates (SoR) to ensure correct job costing and variation of repair orders
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota and attend emergency repairs when required
  • Accurately complete and maintain all job records, paperwork and reports in line with Abri policies, using appropriate IT systems and devices
