Job Description:

Under general supervision, prepares tax returns, automates processes, analyzes results and supports tax audits.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepares and files Federal and state income tax returns
  • Pursues compliance and data management process improvements
  • Ensures timely and accurate tax returns and payments
  • Provides subject matter expertise for corporate income and payroll tax matters
  • Compiles and reviews data using AI and other system tools to ascertain proper tax treatment
  • Researches tax law and makes recommendations
  • Monitors tax rates and other laws, adapting business and reporting changes
  • Drives efficient data gathering, technical research and numerical analyses during financial statement or tax audits
  • Builds partnerships by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and systems initiatives to minimize tax exposure and reporting impact

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 1-4 years of corporate income tax experience
  • Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office tool skills required
  • Strong organizational, research and documentation skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills for resolution of complex issues
  • Strong communication skills for partnering with departments outside of the tax area

Nice to have:

Experience with Corptax, Alteryx, and SAP S4/HANA preferred
