Job Description

An ambitious and dedicated Advanced Imaging Nurse is sought after to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art and innovative facility, where your skills and expertise will contribute to outstanding outcomes for our pediatric patients.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing care to high acuity patients and assisting with complex procedures in Cardiac MRI as a core member of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics program
  • Assisting with procedures such as interventional cardiac MRI, MRI cardiac stress testing, contrast MRI and more complex MRI procedures such as fetal, lymphangiography and pacemaker studies
  • May rotate through Interventional Radiology, and Radiology, assisting with diagnostic imaging procedures as well as complex procedures within the IR suite and at bedside utilizing sterile technique
  • Exhibit a strong focus on sterile technique, MRI safety and patient safety
  • Provision of excellent customer service, care, and documentation
  • Independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of pediatric patient care within diagnostic imaging and advanced imaging
  • Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health & healing

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree
  • 3 Years of Experience
  • BLS for Health Providers (American Heart Association)
  • California RN License
  • Ped Adv Life Support Prov(American Heart Association)
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Diagnostic Imaging/IR, PACU, ED or Critical Care
  • Proficient in IV therapy
