Requirements

Associate's Degree
3 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (American Heart Association)
California RN License
Ped Adv Life Support Prov(American Heart Association)
1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Diagnostic Imaging/IR, PACU, ED or Critical Care
Proficient in IV therapy

Job Responsibility

Providing care to high acuity patients and assisting with complex procedures in Cardiac MRI as a core member of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics program
Assisting with interventional cardiac MRI, MRI cardiac stress testing, contrast MRI and more complex MRI procedures such as fetal, lymphangiography and pacemaker studies
May rotate through Interventional Radiology, and Radiology, assisting with diagnostic imaging procedures as well as complex procedures within the IR suite and at bedside utilizing sterile technique
Exhibit a strong focus on sterile technique, MRI safety and patient safety
Provision of excellent customer service, care, and documentation
Independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of pediatric patient care within diagnostic imaging and advanced imaging
Selecting & administering the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level, and size of the patient
Providing a caring relationship that facilitates health & healing

Job Responsibility

Develops and implements a collaborative practice agreement in the specific clinical area and performs a periodic review of the collaborative agreement
Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of comprehensive health history and physical examination
Initiates selected comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations and laboratory examination, prescribes and alters medication regimens, interprets findings and alters plan of care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols in designated area
Provides teaching and counseling in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses
Documents findings and plan of care in the patient's medical record
