Job Description:

This role supports new programs, research, and completes all staff education. Provides ongoing care to patients with implanted rhythm management devices. Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs, and implanted loop recorders within cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program through data review and maintenance of the software application.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a resource and role model for other staff, providing training and mentoring for new and junior technologists to ensure they meet clinical standards
  • Perform independent quarterly transtelephonic device checks
  • Coordinate staff assignments, patient schedules, and workflow to ensure efficient operation
  • Help with quality assurance measures and ensure the department remains compliant with regulatory standards
  • Actively participate in continuous quality improvement projects to enhance patient safety and outcomes
  • Work with the research team to assist with research studies
  • Work with cardiac diagnostic equipment to provide studies on devices
  • Analyze and reprogram all cardiac devices with various programs based on findings under the direction of the physician
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or 5 years of related experience
  • Five or more years of related experience and training
  • Certification with the International Board of Heart and Rhythm Examiners by the Heart Rhythm Society
  • BLS certification with AED training
  • ACLS certificate
