We are looking for an Advanced Blade Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will take responsibility for carrying out complex repairs and maintenance on wind turbine blades, ensuring they remain in peak operating condition. You will diagnose issues, perform high-quality repairs, and apply your technical expertise to maintain safety and efficiency standards. The position also involves mentoring and training junior technicians, while ensuring all work complies with strict safety and quality requirements. Job Responsibility:
Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on wind turbine blades, including composite repairs, leading-edge protection, and structural repairs
Ensure all tasks are planned and executed in accordance with site-specific risks, control measures, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with HSE and project management teams to continuously improve RAMS documentation and promote a proactive safety culture
Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety and quality standards
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior technicians, including training and mentoring
Maintain accurate records of all repair and maintenance activities, including documentation of work performed and materials used
Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all repairs meet the required standards and specifications
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures for wind turbine blades
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of blade repair processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements:
Technical qualification in engineering or a related field
Extensive experience in wind turbine blade repair and maintenance
Strong understanding of composite materials and repair techniques
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
