DUAL SERVICE MANAGER - ADULTS MENTAL HEALTH Permanent, Full time with generous benefits. Covering services across Bolton and Blackpool. Are you seeking a new opportunity to make a difference to those with mental health issues? Do you have strong leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front? Brook Street Social Care seek a skilled Service Manager to join an organisation who are proud to deliver support services for adults and vulnerable people with complex mental health needs and learning disability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Overseeing two services for adults with mental health issues within supported living services, you will lead and support the teams in the effective delivery of care and support. One service in Bolton and the other in Blackpool
  • The role will be to ensure the safe and effective support provided for adults with mental health issues which may also include self-harmers
  • Supervise and support a team of support staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are rigorously followed, safeguarding vulnerable adults at all times
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including care records, incident reports, and compliance audits
  • Monitor service quality through audits, feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability of the service
  • Full time role, Monday to Friday with the expectation to work flexibly where needed and on call duties for 1 in 9 weeks

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in working within services for adults with mental health issues and learning disability
  • A strong and experienced leader who is able to lead from the front and support and empower their teams to succeed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Level 4 or 5 Leadership & Management or working towards this. Minimum Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults
  • Flexible to be able to travel across two services across Blackpool and Bolton, and to be on site at services. Manage your time effectively across the two
  • Car Driver with access to your own vehicle
  • Passionate to want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people with a calm and positive approach to your work
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary of £36,000 rising to £40,000 after probation
  • 210 hours per year annual leave, rising by 7.5 hours each year of service up to 5 years
