Job Responsibility

Set Up & Run: Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes independently to meet daily production goals
Troubleshoot: Fix machine issues and adjust CNC programs on the fly to keep things running smoothly
Quality Check: Read blueprints and use tools like micrometers and calipers to make sure parts are 100% accurate
Safety First: Keep a clean, safe workspace and work with the team to improve our processes
Maintain safe operations at all times and follow company QHSE standards and practices
Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, and machining parameters
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances
Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensations, and conditional switches
Calculate machining requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers
