Middlesbrough Council is seeking dedicated and experienced Adult Social Workers to join our established East and West Locality Teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a local authority committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the residents of Middlesbrough. As part of the Locality Team, you will work with a diverse range of adults, providing support to help them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.
Job Responsibility
Conduct comprehensive Care Act assessments to identify the needs and outcomes of adults within the locality
Develop, implement, and review support plans that empower individuals while managing risks effectively
Manage safeguarding adults' enquiries, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are protected from harm and their voices are heard
Work closely with multidisciplinary partners, including health professionals, housing, and voluntary services, to ensure a seamless approach to care
Maintain an active caseload, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with statutory requirements
Requirements
A recognized Social Work degree (BA/BSc/MA/MSc) and a current registration with Social Work England
Previous experience working within Adult Social Care, preferably within a locality or community-based setting
A strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Safeguarding Adults legislation
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with service users, families, and professionals
The ability to manage a busy caseload and adapt to the evolving needs of the community
