Job Responsibility:
Adsorption Expertise: You join a team of leading adsorption specialists, where you will help advance our understanding of adsorption phenomena critical to the performance of our DAC process.
Adsorption Experimental Data Analysis: You analyze and interpret experimental data, extracting meaningful insights and supporting fellow scientists in integrating adsorption principles into their evaluations.
Adsorption Process Development: You act as a key link between sorbent development and process design engineering. With a strong grasp of the overall technology and system behavior, you contribute to improving, maturing, and de-risking our DAC process based on a holistic view of its components. You collect, evaluate, and synthesize all available tools and datasets, both experimental and modeling, to answer the core technical questions that drive process development. Additionally, you strengthen Climeworks’ intellectual property position and support competitive landscape assessments.
Requirements:
Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering Background: You have an academic background in chemical engineering and ideally hold a PhD with a focus on adsorption.
Execution Mindset & Tools: You get things done with a pragmatic, observant and curious approach, and you are proficient in modern data analysis tools and processes.
Strong Communication Skills: You clearly communicate complex scientific and engineering concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Language Skills & Travel: You are proficient in English and motivated to travel occasionally.
