Job Description:

The Admissions Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of 7–10 Admissions Counselors, ensuring they achieve their enrollment goals, and maintaining the overall operations and culture of the admissions department. This includes managing the team funnel, conducting regular pipeline reviews, sharing new information, and holding team members accountable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Directly manage a team of 7–10 Admissions Counselors, providing coaching and support
  • Encourage teamwork and foster a collaborative positive culture
  • Act as both a coach and manager, assisting with day-to-day operations
  • Oversee and support the counselors in managing their pipelines and ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews to monitor progress
  • Monitor counselors' performance
  • Engage with individual admission counselors to ensure they meet their personal daily, weekly and cohort goals
  • Learn and master operational aspects of the admissions department
  • Report to management on lead quality, volume, and any trends affecting their team
  • Recommend strategies for operational improvements
  • Ensure new information, processes, and updates are communicated effectively
  • Act as both coach and manager, Score 2-3 intro calls weekly/AC and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop methods to motivate the team
  • Professionally develop Admissions Counselors through weekly 1-1 sessions
  • Work with the Director and Trainer to onboard new counselors
  • Recommend additional training, improvement plans, or disciplinary actions
  • Mentor and coach counselors for skill development and potential promotion
  • Delegate responsibilities fairly and lead by example

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in admissions recruitment or high-volume student-facing sales environments
  • Prior leadership/management experience with direct-reports
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams toward performance goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate interpersonal dynamics
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

Nice to have:
