Job Description

The Admissions Screening Associate will be responsible for evaluating and screening student applications to ensure eligibility and compliance with university admissions criteria. The role focuses on academic assessment, document verification, and supporting timely admission decisions in line with institutional policies.

Job Responsibility

  • Screen and evaluate student applications against defined academic and admissions criteria
  • Assess eligibility based on academic transcripts, qualifications, test scores, and program requirements
  • Verify application documents for accuracy, completeness, and authenticity
  • Flag discrepancies, gaps, or ineligible applications for review and escalation
  • Apply admissions guidelines consistently to ensure fairness and compliance
  • Maintain detailed screening notes and decisions within the admissions system
  • Coordinate with admissions managers and academic teams on borderline or complex cases
  • Ensure adherence to university policies, regulatory norms, and intake deadlines
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining proper documentation and application trails
  • Generate periodic screening reports (applications reviewed, outcomes, turnaround time)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience in admissions screening, application evaluation, or academic operations
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret academic transcripts and eligibility criteria
  • Comfortable working with application portals, CRMs, and spreadsheets
  • Process-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Professional judgment with the ability to escalate edge cases appropriately
  • Clear written communication for documentation and internal coordination
