We are looking for an Admissions Representative to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will provide guidance and support to prospective students as they navigate the financial aid process. This is a long-term contract position within the education industry, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic journeys.
Job Responsibility:
Assist students throughout the financial aid application process to ensure they have the resources needed to succeed
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing student concerns with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder students from starting or continuing their education
Educate students on available financial assistance options, including federal aid, scholarships, and institutional programs
Collaborate with Admissions, Student Services, and other departments to enhance overall student satisfaction and success
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and financial aid processes
Stay up-to-date on financial aid regulations and best practices to provide accurate information
Conduct outreach efforts to prospective students to promote available programs and resources
Ensure compliance with Title IV regulations when assisting students with financial aid applications
Requirements:
High school diploma is required
some college coursework is preferred
A minimum of three years of experience in customer service or sales is essential
At least two years of experience working in financial aid is preferred
Familiarity with Title IV financial aid processes is a plus
Strong communication and customer service skills are required
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint, is necessary
Previous experience in promotional sales or making sales calls is advantageous
Nice to have:
Some college coursework preferred
At least two years of experience working in financial aid preferred
Familiarity with Title IV financial aid processes
