Job Description:

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Admissions Registration Clerk to join our team in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient registration processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a long-term contract position requiring in-office work with occasional weekend shifts. This is a second shift position from 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage patient registration and check-in procedures, ensuring all forms and documentation are completed accurately
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly
  • Schedule patient appointments while coordinating with other departments as needed
  • Provide assistance and information to patients regarding their registrations and appointments
  • Utilize medical software systems efficiently to maintain accurate and updated records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to address inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain an attentive and welcoming front office environment
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures during daily operations
  • Support the team in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to the role

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a medical front office or receptionist role is required
  • Proficiency in patient scheduling and registration processes
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and insurance verification procedures
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with medical software systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable interacting with patients in a face-to-face setting
  • Physically capable of completing training and performing job duties
  • Business casual attire is required, adhering to workplace dress code guidelines
