Admissions Registration Clerk Job at Robert Half (Buffalo)

Job Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Admissions Registration Clerk to join our team in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient registration processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a long-term contract position requiring in-office work with occasional weekend shifts. This is a second shift position from 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Job Responsibility

Manage patient registration and check-in procedures, ensuring all forms and documentation are completed accurately
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly
Schedule patient appointments while coordinating with other departments as needed
Provide assistance and information to patients regarding their registrations and appointments
Utilize medical software systems efficiently to maintain accurate and updated records
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to address inquiries and concerns
Maintain an attentive and welcoming front office environment
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures during daily operations
Support the team in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to the role

Requirements

Previous experience in a medical front office or receptionist role is required
Proficiency in patient scheduling and registration processes
Familiarity with basic medical terminology and insurance verification procedures
Strong computer skills, including experience with medical software systems
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Comfortable interacting with patients in a face-to-face setting
Physically capable of completing training and performing job duties
Business casual attire is required, adhering to workplace dress code guidelines
