Job Description

Admissions Recruitment Ambassadors (ARA) are responsible for assisting in the creation of a welcoming, positive, and impactful visit experience at Eastern Kentucky University. Working primarily with prospective students, families, and guests, the ARA role is crucial to the recruitment process of the Office of Enrollment Management. The ARA role is one that requires consistent reliability, close attention to detail, and a desire to work with the public on a regular basis.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading tours of prospective students, families, and/or high school students to show campus and promote the EKU experience
  • Participating in in-person Spotlight events, virtual events, and other special events hosted by the Office of Admissions
  • Assisting in the operations of the Welcome Center including maintaining inventory, setting up the space for events, restocking complimentary coffee and refreshment bar, and keeping the space tidy
  • Attending and participating in required meetings and training as outlined by the Admissions professional staff team
  • Other duties as assigned which relate to assisting prospective students, families, guests, inquiries, and applicants
  • Assisting in the administrative functions of the Welcome Center which includes answering emails, and interacting with the public and campus community regularly
