An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Children & Young People's Education Service, School Admissions Team. We coordinate the admission processes for Primary (Year R), Junior (Year 3), and Secondary (Year 7) transition applications as well as co-ordinating in-year applications for children wishing to access education within the City. You will have the opportunity to work on all of these statutory functions and involved on wider projects to increase the knowledge base of parents, schools, and wider teams across PCC. One of the main roles in the job is allocating school places for pupils within strict statutory deadlines and liaising with both schools and parents. The team are currently operating a hybrid work model that includes a mix of being based out of Sand Martin House in Peterborough and working from home. Due to the demands of the job, including your induction period, there will be times where working from the office is necessary, so being able to get to Peterborough for a 9am start is a must. You will work within the School Admissions team under the School Admissions Team Leader. The role would be 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with no weekend work. Interviews will be held w/b 3rd August.
