Job Description:

The Admissions Coordinator supports the Group Head of Admissions and wider admissions team in delivering a professional, efficient, and welcoming experience for all prospective families. This is a varied role combining administrative and coordination responsibilities with opportunities to support events and communications. The postholder will help ensure that all correspondence, events, and interactions reflect the warmth and excellence of Sherborne Girls (and the wider SSG), helping families feel informed, supported, and excited about joining the community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Group Head of Admissions and wider admissions team in delivering a professional, efficient, and welcoming experience for all prospective families
  • Ensure all correspondence, events, and interactions reflect the warmth and excellence of Sherborne Girls
  • Help families feel informed, supported, and excited about joining the community

Requirements:

  • Provide administrative support throughout the admissions process
  • Support recruitment strategy
  • Meet and welcome prospective families, provide school tours
  • Maintain applicant records using ISAMS/Metis
  • Support the preparation of offer and scholarship letters
  • Assist with tracking pupil applications
  • Liaise with academic and pastoral staff
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for admissions engagement events
  • Assist in organising entrance assessment and scholarship days
  • Manage related communications, logistics, and documentation
  • Provide on-the-day support for events
  • Support the Group Head of Admissions with coordination and budget tracking
  • Provide administrative support for overseas admissions events
  • Create and maintain clear, engaging communications for families
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create and maintain admissions materials
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of digital newsletters
  • Represent Sherborne Girls at prep school fairs and recruitment events
  • Work closely with the Engagement Officer
  • Contribute to admissions reports
  • Support updates to the school’s online admissions information
  • Work collaboratively across departments
  • Maintain up-to-date safeguarding training and proficiency in IT systems
