Job Responsibility:
Precise Daily Documentation: Meticulously and accurately document daily patient care, detailed observations, and comprehensive responses to treatments, ensuring all medical records are thorough, up-to-date, legally compliant, and reflective of the highest clinical standards
Accurate Medication Order Transcription: With unwavering attention to detail, precisely transcribe physicians' orders to MARs (Medication Administration Records), rigorously ensuring proper, safe, and timely medication delivery to every resident
Seamless Pharmacy Coordination: Proactively and promptly notify the pharmacy of new orders and any changes to existing patient prescriptions, facilitating continuous, uninterrupted, and accurate medication availability for all residents
Safe Medication Administration: Skillfully and meticulously prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, strictly adhering to all established protocols, institutional safety guidelines, best clinical practices, and regulatory requirements
Collaborative Interdisciplinary Engagement: Actively and enthusiastically participate in the interdisciplinary care team, contributing your expert insights to the collaborative development, diligent implementation, and ongoing evaluation of individualized, person-centered care plans that comprehensively address each resident's unique and evolving needs
Vigilant Patient Monitoring and Assessment: Continuously and critically monitor patient conditions, keenly identifying any subtle or significant changes or emerging concerns, and implementing appropriate, timely, and effective nursing interventions to optimize patient outcomes
Comprehensive Wound Care Management: Provide expert wound care as prescribed, assessing wound status, applying appropriate dressings, and documenting healing progress
Effective Communication and Education: Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and their families, providing clear, empathetic communication regarding care plans and health status, and offering education on various health-related topics
Adherence to Clinical Policies: Ensure strict adherence to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient healthcare environment
Dedicated Support: Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or the Administrator, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success, efficiency, and exceptional quality of patient care services within our esteemed facility.
Requirements:
An Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License within the state of Illinois
A profound and demonstrable commitment to patient-centered care and a genuinely compassionate approach in all interactions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully within a diverse and multidisciplinary team
