In the role of Admissions and Data Analyst, you will use student information systems, reporting software, and CRM systems at University of Southampton Delhi for data analytics and visualisation in the admissions and marketing planning function. You will analyse admissions data and student records to generate insight-led reports that support the department’s objectives. You will contribute towards efficient, responsive admissions workflows by optimising processes and technologies. As a critical admissions resource, you will contribute towards through smooth processing of university enrolment while upholding quality and compliance standards.
Job Responsibility:
Analyse admissions data to generate timely reports and make internal presentations as required for data-driven insights to support admissions policy and decision-making
Monitor admissions metrics to optimise the funnel and implement continuous learning
Maintain data integrity and data hygiene of student records in designated databases/ systems
Work with data visualisation team/s and software (Power BI) to proactively evolve reporting dashboards
Maintain confidential and sensitive student records and documentation, in keeping with GDPR and other data privacy regulations as relevant from time to time
Monitor the higher education sector and competition for competitive analysis
Leverage available automation and technologies to streamline admissions processes
Develop product release notes, undertake UAT and liaise with teams for upgrading and evolving application and admissions processes
Ensure admissions policy compliance and reporting in the Indian and UK education environments, including with internal policies
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline existing workflows, admission processes and systems
Develop knowledge and training resources and manage policy and standard operating procedure documents
Support admissions processing during peak admissions period and/or as otherwise required, including pre-interview admissions, scholarship and bursary assessments
Develop and manage transactional communication flows to support admissions and scholarship processing towards high-quality student engagement and admissions experience
Support planning and execution of university and admissions-wide events such as offer-holder events, Open Days, admissions events and bridge sessions
Plan admissions document processing and enrolment camps to check and update student records
Support the development of enrolment packs and their distribution to incoming students
Facilitate the document checks and student enrolment process at University of Southampton Delhi
Coordinate with the Student Experience team to ensure hand-over of relevant student records
Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support admissions objectives across university programmes
Collaborate and support the delivery of a seamless, engaging and empathetic student admission process in keeping with University of Southampton value proposition and brand
Support the finance team for scholarship and bursary administration reporting
Maintain strong relationships with the student experience team to support the transition from admissions to enrolled students
Requirements:
Eligibility to live and work in India
Enhanced DBS disclosure check or overseas equivalent
Bachelor’s/Undergraduate degree
Certificate or diploma in data analytics, business analytics
Experience of 1-3 years in data analytics visualisation and reporting, ideally working in universities, HEIs
Knowledge of admissions processes
Experience of working with student information systems (Ellucian Banner), CRM (Hubspot, ZenDesk)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, including spoken and written English
Analytical skills, high attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
